Ha, pathetic mortal, I can walk that.

Not really, but I can walk 1 mile in 10-20 minutes.
You´re great ;D...
My names Allan, I'm 11 years old.

I suck at programming. For my age, "suck" is actually alright. I also have three friends that also program:
Kyle-VB
Michael-C++
Nick-VB

I am a little more mature than the other people in my class, doesn't make finding friends easy though. In my spare time I play tennis or golf, listen to music or play on my computer. My favourite bands are Modest Mouse, Quiet Drive and The Hush Sound and if you say "what about Justin Beiber?" I will kill you.

So that's me, boring person aren't I?
People keep saying I look like Justin Bieber. In unrelated news, people keep dying, too.
Ugh I hate Justin Bieber. He's the perfect example of everything that's wrong with the music industry.

- He's just some kid. He's not really a musician
- They run his voice through an auto tuner, so he doesn't even need to have any talent
- His haircut is stupid

Also, is it me, or does the music industry seem more interested in creating pedophiles than in creating music? I mean look at Justin Bieber. He's some pretty kid that they doll up in makeup and fancy clothes and make him dance around and slap him on billboards everywhere.
Lol. This is why virtually all of the music I like is from the 80s...

He doesn't exemplify everything that's wrong with the music industry, though... he doesn't go around suing people for stupid reasons.

yet... give him time. I'm sure he'll trademark his hair cut and start suing.
If he does, I'll kill him. I had my hair like this four years ago, way before he got famous. Just so you know, mine is not supposed to look like his (its longer). I'm in the intermediary between short hair and George Fisher length hair. I've had to keep it shortish until recently because my previous school was stupidly strict about it (because having long hair means I won't learn as much or something). But now I can have it as long as I want.
I like how the only you guys picked up on from Allan's post was Justin Beiber. Bravo! I do agree that he's a complete pr*ck.
EDIT: In a perfect world: delete Justin_Beiber;

The truth is Justin Beiber just needs somebody to loooo-ooo-ooove
My name is confidential, for privacy reasons. You can refer to me as PiMaster here. I live in NM, US.

I've had maybe 5 years of programming experience, though the first 4 were with the program "Game Maker," which includes built-in language compiled with Delphi (correct me if I'm wrong) that shares similar syntax with C++, which is probably why I was able to pick it up so quickly. I got into C++ when I was trying to write extensions for Game Maker in C++, and realized that C++ is MUCH more flexible.

I originally found this site through Google searches about various problems I had, and the site's tutorial was my main source of knowledge. This site popped up so often that I was already familiar with the community and the tags, which is why I knew how to use the code tags on my first question here (a question about the finishing touches of my SDL-based game engine, ORLY v1)

I enjoy math, reading, intellectual conversations, and programming (obviously). My favorite integer is 256, my favorite irrational number is PI, and my favorite color is green.

At the moment, I'm thinking about looking into Java after the finals are over (oh God, when will they end!?)
What does any of that have to do with Justin Beiber?!?!

Quit trying to derail the thread!!!!1111

XD
Oh, pffffstshhh, sorry guys ;D

He sounds like a girl, and I'm sure almost any given person at my school can sing circles around him. Nowadays, companies don't care about how well someone sings, but how well they sell.

You took the words straight from my head.

Anyway, on the topic:
I suppose I'm a bit late, a few months from the initial post, i think? Well, i was browsing Disch's profile (which is rather empty), and glanced at one of the "latest posts" and caught 'Bieber' in the corner of my eye, scoffed, then thought I'd check out what kind of jokes were being made. I wasn't disappointed.
So, about me. I'm 15, i got into C++ about 3 years ago when i saw one of my role models with the book "C++ for Dummies". I went to the store and picked it up the next day, and now, programming to me is like playing guitar is for others. (Though, guitar's one of the most overused instruments, and at least 90% of the guys who bother to learn how to play them only care about picking up girls.) I'm more mature than the class I'm in, and have no desire to fit in anywhere, or leave my computer chair for that matter. Oh, yeah, my names Stephen (and my address is.. and my number is.. and my credit card number is.. and my SSN is.. and my most frequently used pw is..), but Thumper's actually a nick name, and what i prefer to be called by.
I'm 100% self-taught, and wouldn't have it any other way. Were i taught in a classroom I'd be forced to hate coding. Classes are too restricting, and i can't learn at my pace.
I'm.. ehhh, relatively good at C++. I'm no expert, far from expert, but i think I'm safe to say that I'm no longer a script kiddie. (*remembers the good memories of my mind being blown at "Hello, World!" in the console. Ahh :D*)
I've not actually completed many projects. I generally don't have the attention span to build anything big, so my project directory's loaded with 70 some project files. I have, however, nearly finished my first game-dev project, a remake of Asteroids. My.. second favorite classic game.
My interests aren't limited to just coding, but anything that's technologically oriented. Recently I've been dabbing around with some hardware, circuits, and modding (i put a usb hub inside my mouse.. and only broke 3!) So, that constitutes a good portion of my time, with the soldering and what not. I'm an awful solderer. And that's about all that I can spit out right now. (:
Well, i was browsing Disch's profile (which is rather empty),

People actually read those? Maybe I should put something in there.
I think it's only me.
and me!
Now onto the topics topic:

I am Alexander William Evans, call me Al and I WILL end you. I'm 18 years old as of this post and attending missouri state university with a dual major in computer science and mathematics, and a dual minor in physics and Japanese (might drop the second minor though, it was for my own personal growth more than anything)

Aside from teh applied mathematics that are the sciences I study, I'm an author of 3 novels (out of a 7 novel series written with a friend) each novel about 200-400 pages. I write a lot in my free time, it's long been a hobby of mine. As well I play several instruments, and have for most my life. Violin is my favorite instrument to play and I've played it for 10 years. I also play trombone tenor saxaphone clarinet and trumpet. Though I only played tenor sax in marching band,

Music is my second passion. I would likely go insane without it. In fact, had I not discovered the world of programming I would of majored in music and become a music educator.

I've always been a little a head of the game so to speak, I don't like to brag but it seems worth mentioning on a forum where I came in completely entry level on the topic. See when i was 8 I scored above genius level on an IQ test that was granted to all students in that school district at the time. they tested me several more times after that to be sure of the results, and once with the adults grade standard IQ test. I've never trusted the scores though and write it off to my innate ability to read people as I've never noticed any superior brain power over my peers...then again I had hung out with those who scored a 4.6 on a 4.0 scale in highschool. Regardless I'm aware that iq tests are not an accurate measure of intelligence. And neither are grades, I believe I'm a head of the game because of my ability to learn fast, and recall faster.

Shh...don't tell anyone our secret...
@Seraphimsan: Mathematics huh? To quote a friend: Mathematicians worship math, physists use math, computer scientists abuse math.
How goes it in the land of worshipping the abused?
I dunno if this forum nick "Duoas" whose name given as "Michael Thomas Greer" is the author of one of the programming books I have borrowed and read in my country national library. He is obviously very passionate on IT software development.

On the other hand, I have been hoping to see more Asian C/C++ programmers gracing this forum and maybe m4ster r0shi is japanese?

As for me, I guess my homepage speak about myself :)
