"Pain" by Ayreon (from The Human Equation.)
The Matrix (Jesus must have needed an awful lot of teaching, then.)
MOAR! (These are harder.)
Rubik's cube wooden hut in forest. (Not a story, but my brain spat this out and refused to spit anything else out for this particular movie.) Possessed couple has sex for summoning.
We'd have uploaded it to Youtube. (Hint: This is an XKCD reference.) Mental projection tries to bomb buildings. We haven't been moving in circles. Too many gods spoil the Indian.
Cancer plus psychosis equals retribution killings.
Angular momentum is enhanced while sleeping. Consent form missing, prodigy goes rogue.
The empress needed a new name.
> Mental projection tries to bomb buildings.
I need to see Akira
> Cancer plus psychosis equals retribution killings.
Saw
@MiiniPaa: I liked "Seven Samurai" more.
@Cheraphy: Yes, I think it's alright, ¿have you listened the London Symphony Orchestra version?
(it seems that the meaning of alright is weaker than what I thought)
Rubik's cube wooden hut in forest. -I... I know this one, but the name escapes me. It's the one where it is a bunch of teenagers in a wooden hut in a forest, where two scientists are fucking with them the whole time by making it into a horror-movie scenario. Something along those lines.
We'd have uploaded it to Youtube.- I want to say something along the lines of "We Made a Porno" or some other name of the same vein, but I'm not quire sure.
Angular momentum is enhanced while sleeping. -Inception
-> Cabin in the woods
All the other ones I could guess have already been guessed.
More story plots:
Whiny kid won't go in robot.
Made sure he spared no expense.
Reluctant hero has shoes this time.
Bank robber just wants a smoke.
KLAATU...BARADA...necktie? nectar? nickle? noodle? (Not really a plot)
Three Laws Compliance takes logical extreme.
Actually the mental projection one isn't Akira, though I can see where you got that one.
Rumpelstiltskin is in the same genre as the movie I'm thinking of, but the story from which the movie was adapted isn't the best-known fairy tale. The movie is one of the few instances where the film was better than the book.
@Ispil
Inception is right.
I should add a hint for the WHUITY one. That one is really obscure and relies on a reference.
And you're definitely on the right train of thought with the RCWHIF one.
Dad left; a flag came back. (Grey Wolf)
Far(e)well doctor, thank you for trying. (also Grey Wolf)
You were supposed to raise me. (Albatross)
That brown dog is not real. (twiggystardust)
And then, after the thread had plummeted into reams of dreary mediocrity, a gem:
Two stories different endings (gennny):
Dreaming, trying, failing; worth the effort.
Dreaming, trying, failing; worth the effort?
