ultifinitus, that's a bit creepy on how much research you're doing on a single person. Also, you still don't have anything to prove that he's that old.

Despite whatever face you put on when you introduce yourself, as long as you give productive (spell-checked) questions, I'll help to answer them. It shouldn't really matter.

And for the run, I do not equate age with respect. I often talk down to people twice my age because they are simply the worst people I've seen in my life. Just because you're older does not mean you're justified to say what you want or make you more wise than those younger than you.
@computerquip I think it is cool that ultifinitus did so much research on sadsack it shows that ultifinitus isn't easily fooled.

While that's true, I also kinda feel it's none of his business and manipulated the internet to get information on someone when it really didn't even matter, then presented that information for everyone to see. Although, I ultimately don't care as he didn't really do anything bad with it other than attempt to find the truth. I have mixed feelings about it :/.

none of his business

This, I disagree with. I am in the business of helping people, and if I suspect someone is going to fool me, I am going to do my research. In this case it may or may not have been necessary. If you look through the posts either he's legit or he's been trolling since 2002.

I took about 10 minutes, but the internet is information- so it gathers quickly and easily.

but the internet is information

Not for long: www.facebook.com

manipulated the internet

In the words of Justin Timberlake, "privacy is a relic of a time gone by." Everything on the internet leaves a trace, and I think it's fair to say ultiifinitus just used the internet, and didn't actually do anything wrong.
I'll openly admit I got the vibe that he was a troll as well. For all the same reasons that Ulti did.
you'll recall or local troll calling his the "hi program" whereas most newbies call them hello world programs, because that's what the tutorials happen to say.

hes only a "newbie" to c++ who says that that is the first hello world hes done?
He meant that calling it something besides a "hello world" program is a red flag. "hi program" or "hai world" sounds like something out of lolcats.
I understand your suspicion, but too think that it's unfounded. I'd love to have a new experienced member aboard, but as you already said yourself, proof is all that we need on that part. So we'll found out soon enough and shouldn't worry about this right now. ;)

However, is it just me, or is everyone a little bit more sensitive after gamecodez than after spoonlicker?
Well, I guess you're right. Rest assured that I'm only having fun on the trolls when they appear and don't really care about their "trouble behaviour".

Now, let's stop hijacking this thread or going off-topic. I'd love to say: Welcome aboard.
Huh, welcome.

And everyone, don't get paranoid just cause we get some trolls every once in a while. It's not like you'd be wasting more time on helping someone than it takes to figure out whether that person is a troll or not. And seeing that most people here are sincere (alas, often very lazy, especially when it comes to students), I'd say it's not very constructive to start with suspicions.

Hello all,
I been called many things in my life, a troll is one of the better things.
You know I have put up with people telling me that I should learn to spell all my life.
I know they are right. In grade school I hated english, reading and
spelling, loved math. Then I found out that you could learn all kinds of net stuff from
reading. So I started to read, now I have to many books, but I have read them all.
When I got my BS in EE I just got by with 2.5 in all the bull sh_t classes, but 4.0 in the ones that matter.
That was every thing that was not math, computers and electronics. Here I
set to day telling why I can't spell. But that not all of it. I have a very
hard time with letters, numbers are easy. When I write something down I do
get my point across to whom may read it. troll or not this is me, if
you don't like it don't read what I write. I should know better to come here for
help, that I don't need at this time, that is why I did not go to the beginner
forum. I did not want to wasit people time on saying hi, where other
people are there with real problems. I came here, you know I did live under a bridge
at one time, so troll could be ture. I will take my leave now, knowing you will
never have to put up with my miss spilled words ever again. Good day
renny
May you find sympathy wherever you're going.

You will find tetchy, suspicious fools all over the net.
@sadsack: You quit the site just because one person thought you may have been a troll, something he even later rejected? lmao
So much for our once-friendly forum.
Congratulations, ultifinitus. That's all I have to say.

-Albatross
I don't think that's entirely fair Albatross.

I don't either. If he can't take being called a troll with reasonable basis then I don't think he's adult enough to participate in this forum.

Also, he seems to intentionally mispel key words to mess with us or just piss us off. He acts like he's 12. While I don't mind new members, this entire thread for him is ridiculous.

Umm, that's not what really meant. I was just defending ultifinitus and saying that he made a reasonable assumption, and he shouldn't be penalized so harshly for being wrong.
Well now, that's just interesting.
