IIRC we had an IRC channel that some kid set up... but I can't remember where it is. I don't know why we need IRC, tbh, but if you have made it already, then I'll write a Python script to spam the hell out of it. It's actually suprisingly easy :)

Actually, I recently wrote a IRC client so I've been studying the IRC protocol. Depending on the IRC server, it is actually VERY easy to flood the server. When I finally finish the backend, I'm going to implement a spam button. Though some servers make sure that doesn't happen or implement IRC bot bouncers to prevent this.

We could make our own chat protocol, accessible to the website also. IRC isn't exactly the best protocol.
