Any comments on this program starter?
non standard?
Nice find tummychow!
Yeah it is non-standard but isn't void a type that can be casted?
(Hmmmmm.... I think I will use this if I ever write a virus.)
isn't void a type that can be casted?
void represents the absence of type.
isn't void a type that can be casted?

No. That's void*

I think I will use this if I ever write a virus

A gun. I think I will use this if you ever write a virus.
I take no credit for that find. Duoas had it in his issues with console programming article.
I'll give you plenty of credit. I only linked to the anti-system() one. :-)

If you ever write a virus, I will spam you house with dead animals.
dead animals

Is that all? Just dead animals?
What sort of mechanism will you use to propel the carcasses?

You people (chrisname and DrChill, I mean) should be ashamed of yourselves.

Well since you asked ...

@DrChill
I will even help you build it but can we target something else other than my house?

Catapult < Balista < Trebuchet.

Don't worry, we only fire if you make a virus.
So if I just randomly point to someone and say, "They made a virus!" We fire away right?
No. When said person says "I'm making a virus" we open fire.
Catapult < Balista < Trebuchet.

But a trebuchet is a catapult, so the ballista is both greater and worse than a catapult, meaning that either:

1. The ballista must be two separate items.
2. The ballista is not equal to itself, but is both better and worse than itself.

This means that your logic is flawed, and thus the original assumption is false.

Q.E.D.
No, catapults and trebuchet are arguably not the same thing. I suppose it depends on your definition of a catapult. If you define a catapult as anything that is used to propel a projectile in a given distance, then a ballista is a catapult.

To me, a catapult typically works based on a rope that is wound around a system of cogs; whereas a trebuchet works because of gravity and momentum.
They're different.

By that definition, most ranged weapons are catapults. Hands (rock throwing), bows and crossbows, slingshots, firearms, artillery, railguns, etc. etc.

The trebuchet, aside from using a different mechanism, also throws its ammo differently. While the catapult is like an oversized human arm, the trebuchet is like an oversized human arm using a slingshot.
