.h file vs .cpp file

Hey guy i am little concern about QT .it has 2 files first one is .h file and the next one is .cpp file. there for i would like to know the difference between these two files. i am little beginner to QT. i find the ".h" file is kind of like an "interface" class. Correct me if i am wrong. i would be glad if someone can provide a link to an explanation or a explanation here :) thank you in advance.
