I've never heard of it either and I can assure most people I know haven't heard of it either. Soccer is not very popular here in the states. I'm not going to look it up but it all depends on the platform that you're playing on. If that soccer game is being played on a browser, it could be powered by java or something else. But most console games and PC games are programmed in C++ from what I understand.
