Whats Next?

I just really finished the basics and I am wondering where do I go from here? I have thought about getting into open source but I am not very good at reading other people's code. What do you recommend? I have been programming for about 5 months so nothing to challenging.
What do you mean by basics? Getting into an open-source project is definitely a good idea, but depending on your experience with large projects it can be daunting. I'm not too good at reading other peoples code either, but the only way to get better at it is practice, and if you intend to work in programming then you need to be able to:) But now that you feel you are over the basics of c++(whatever they might be), isn't that a good time to make something you've wanted to make? I, for example, started writing a raytracer a while back, after I started feeling comfortable in c++.
Oh by basics I meant dynamic_casting , polymorphism , OOP , etc. But I guess you are right I should do something I have always wanted to do.
