Help running .exe

I'm not sure if this would be the right place for this, but since it involves my programming class I suppose it is relevant. Anyway, our teacher gave us a .exe file for a project so that we can see how the compiled project is suppose to look. However, I can't get it to run. I receive the error "the procedure entry point __gxx_personality_v0 could not be located in the dynamic link (location of .exe)". I believe I have the correct .dll files. Not sure what else to do. I read about the linker and also have the correct lib exceptions.
