Hello friends, I was raised a doubt, if you wanted, you could have installed VisualStudio 2008 and VisualStudio 2012? ... are incompatible to have them together?

You can have both of them on the same computer I believe but I really don't see the point of having them both since 2012 will have almost everything 2008 has and more.

Isn't 2008 32bit and 2012 64bit?

That means you're unlikely to have the on the same box, right?

VS 2012 can come in X86 or x64.

VS2012 is a 32-bit application and can be run on both 32 and 64 bit windows.

Please note that vs2012 requires windows 7 or windows 8 as main operating system. Yes, you can have vs2008 and vs2012 installed side-by-side.

The only justification for moving off XP is 64bit. In my view, there's no point in running 32bit Windows 7. It's a poor way of controlling a 32bit machine, it takes 25% of the machine to control it.
