Button & ProgressBar

hello,
I have write a normal button & progressbar use normal API (create window) with background is a image.

However i got problem when display it

Here is what i create use normal API

as you can see the API way have border and the normal way doesn't have border with Button & ProgressBar

Question : how i create Button & Progressbar without that border ?
(Btw: I use GDI to paint the main form with image)
