Were you able to get the rest of the program working then, that is, the one that inserts records into tables, dumps them, etc.?

I haven't tried the other yet, but yes, I was able to get DSTR3A's code working without spaces, but then, his code only connected to the DB, it didn't try to create one. I'm virtually certain that is where the problem is.
Okay, I got your original code working by removing the spaces. The only problem is that the date field comes out with gibberish characters, but everything else works perfectly.

I wonder why? I think I'm close to being burnt out right now, but I'm sure we can solve it. By the way,
check out my link over in the PowerBASIC Forums. One poster provided a way I think to solve the spaces
problem so it will work!
