Locate Method

Can someone please tell what's the difference between the locate method and lookup method. And where you would use which between the two.

I think you need to be a bit more specific with your terminology :)

Are you talking about a type of function? or maybe a function called locate() and another one called lookup() ? Perhaps you are referring to static and dynamic binding?

I couldn't find any relevant looking information on google, cplusplus.com or in several reference books (using your keywords). Give us more information!
