path and file name from "open with" using double click

Hello to everyone,
I would like to open automatically a data file with an inhouse application double-clicking it.
After configuring windows for doing it I need a way to obtain the complete path and name of the double-clicked data file in order to work with it in my console application.
I have been looking for in internet a couple of days but I do not know any key word which can help me (further than "open with", "double click",...).
A simple example would be to present the name and path of a double-clicked data file.
Could, please, anyone help with it?
Thank you for your help in advance and kind regards,
When you set up the file association in windows, if done correctly the name of the file will be passed into your application as a command line parameter.
