I have a C++ application that prints labels to any Windows printer, as part of a production batch processing set.
We have been requested not to print the labels, but to use the FILE: option to generate a PRN file to be loaded later by a machine mounted printer. No problem there, except that using the FILE: command forces manual entry of a filename and path every time.
The filename has to matching other automatically issued documents and files, so it is a risk for this to be manually entered for every batch.
Is there a workaround which we could use in our C++ code, to avoid FILE: asking for a filename each time.
