wireless router design

hey guys
i need to design a router which prepare internet for other computers . i mean my computer would be the gateway somehow and other computers could connect to my computer and use internet . this is possible through windows tools but i need to design it with c++ , all i want to know is how to start , a clue .

It's more a matter of configuring existing tools. You don't need to write any new programs.

I wouldn't instinctivly start with Windows for such a task, I'd start with OpenBSD with PF. Most others might choose some Linux based solution.
