Okay, what I want is simple, an input box that writes whatever you put in the bar into a text file. I have looked all over, and the only things I can find is source-codes with 500 lines of other B.S. that I don't need, and I'm not good enough to pick out the required code. Thank you to anyone that can help :).

Tylerk42, you don't choose what code you want and take it out into your program. There's no difference between that and static linking. Reuse the code given whatever GUI library you decide to go with. If your using Win32, review Win32 GUI Tutorials.
