Help! DDE project

Hello. I have a serious problem to set up a project from existing source code. I'd like to set up the DDEserv which is available for download. I found this Classes on the following link: ( http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms997519.aspx ).
I've tried that for 5 days now and I don't know what I make wrong.

So could somebody please explain me step by step how to set up this DDEserv. . please
I use Visual Studio 2005 trial.
Os xp home
