Distinguishing input from two keyboards

Hi,
I'm trying to use two keyboards on one computer and disinguish the input coming from each. For example, one input to a file and another input to another while they're being typed at the same time.
Is it possible?

I know i opened the thread in windows section but i welcome the solutions specific to linux also.

You can't, easily.

There is a software called TeamPlayer that you may find useful:

The other option (on Windows) would be to use a direct input method.
I've never tried to do anything of the sort on Linux, so I don't know how to configure it... It might be as simple as directly opening the second keyboard input driver...
