help installing wamp server

so i need to make a php site for my aunt. i can write php code, but i did it when i had a mac and it was easy to install mamp. so, anyways, I have looked at numerous sites and they all say to use the wamp server thats on source forge and proceed to give the same installation instructions. its pretty straight forward, but i cant get it to work. i have tried reinstalling three times, but it still wont work right. it wont start all services no matter how many times i click the button. what am i doing wrong?

Make sure that port 80 is not used by other programs. For example, wamp won't start all services if Skype is running
