Improve Ubuntu File Searching System

I have a project to do in my degree. that i want to improve file searching technique in UBUNTU OS. i am aware of where to start. and for that i want to get Ubuntu Source code in C/C++. i am going to implement this using C and C++. if anyone knows about my task please help me.

I assume you are familiar with find but have you heard of locate?

I heard about locate but did not search it i will see .. and tell me how can i get ubuntu source code in C/C++

Go to their site and download the source... Google can help you out there.
