Unix OS Download

I'm wondering where to download the Unix OS? I want to learn hwo to work it but I keep coming across Linux & a couple others but never just Unix! Is there a place I can download it from?

If you are not used to UNIX systems give Ubuntu a shot. I still prefer Debian or similar with Linux.
If you try BSD i can recommend OpenBSD. I've done good experience with it.

Can someone point me to the forest? My map says it should be here but I can't see it. All these trees keep getting in the way.

FreeBSD++; although it might not be the most user-friendly. It's a great system. My Linux preference is Arch Linux because it's very fast and customizeable.

Linux is NOT unix...

GNU's Not Unix either (couldn't resist).
