Forum question - subscribing to threads

How do I subscribe to a thread?

After clicking on the "My topics" link under my username, I see a checkbox where it says "subscribed topics".

However, when clicking on an topic/thread I do not see an button to subscribe to it, so that I will get an e-mail when someone posts.

Under the thread posts there is a "Tracking options for this topic:" and pick subscribe from the drop down menu. Only two options, bookmark or subscribe so that you get an email upon every reply to it.
