Contact lenses

Just got contacts the other day, and while they seem to work quite well over the day, I do have troubles using them for extended periods of staring at a monitor. Anyone else having issues with contacts?
There is 'artificial tears'.
You could also turn on the lights or regulate the temperature of the monitor.

¿What is your graduation?
In which metric?
I found, when I wore contacts, that being in a well-lit place while staring at the monitor helped quite a bit. I find that true without the contacts as well, but while wearing contacts those sorts of things feel magnified to some degree. These days I tend to prefer wearing glasses; it's just less of a headache.
dioptre. I've got -7.5
I got away a little better with -2.5 on the left eye and -2.25 on the right one. Though it's still getting worse.
I don't need contact lenses or glasses.

I have the eyes of the hawk (and the ears of the wolf, and the strength
of the bear, and the speed of the puma, and a real badass pet horse).

Oh, and I look like Steven Segal.

Despite what my optometrist says, I've found that keeping my contacts 24/7 helps more than taking them out and putting new ones in every day. While it seems uncomfortable at first, after a few days they are less prone to dryness and you won't have to worry about getting dirt underneath them while applying. It's easier to deal with and doesn't seem to have any particular effects on my eyes; albeit, I've only had them for 8 months, so I can't comment on any long-lasting effects. But for some reason, I heard from a friend that "if you sleep with your contacts in, they fuse to your eyes." I don't think any of you would really believe that, but I'll go ahead and say that's just a myth.

Good, then you will no need correction.
The "sleep with your contacts in" thing is a myth. I forgot to take mine out on many occasions.

However, if you wear your contact lenses too far past their expiration date, you won't be able to wear contact lenses for many weeks, if you're not lucky. Your eyes will just reject them. Just a bit of advice. :)
