Rating Posts and/or thanking them

I believe there should be some way where we express gratitude and reward users who answer our questions, much like the Reputation Feature on same websites.

However, I think a simple mechanism for thanking people would be useful!

I'd also love to see a simple "Thank You" mechanism, as long as those "thanks" aren't counted and displayed as part of the profile. Thanks should be something one should not feel they have to earn an X amount of. Anyways. Those are my 2¢.

Just so. You dropped someone's name in the killfile, it was as if they were dead to you, although you still got treated to other people quoting and responding to the person.
