Word Document Recovery

I worked about an hour on a report for my little brother in Word 2007, then went on to do other things. Later on closed it without saving because I forgot I didn't print it. I then got in trouble for not saving it and went on a few websites to try and figure out how to recover it. After following their instructions, I was still unsuccessful. It seems that the sites I was checking involved already saved documents that got deleted, but I didn't ever save mine. I know it's still in my memory somewhere, but I'm too much of a novice to be able to recover it and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get it back, or where I could get instructions to get it back. I haven't defragged my hard drive and I haven't tried layering zeroes over it, so if I need to do something that involves removing the layer of blank data to find an autosave or something, then I'll do that, but I still need help with this.
If you never saved it at any point there isn't anything to recover. I'm afraid you're probably going to have to take it as a life lesson, save early save often.
That really sucks then. I hope there are other more positive responses, but I guess I'll have learned my lesson otherwise.
According to http://techie-buzz.com/how-to/recover-unsaved-word-documents.html
you can try looking in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\MicrosoftWord and C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Temp
Worth a try.
Unfortunately I have tried that with no luck. Thanks for the help though.
