Why do the " " Programming forums suck?

Kill them with kindness.
If someone didn't say anything I could use to troll more with I would double post and start ranting about pointless things until someone replied.

I get it. You trolled for attention. People weren't good at not responding, so you kept trolling, because you knew people weren't good at not responding.

Trolls go on one fact. You annoy a person long enough they will feel obligated to reply because they have let their frustration build until they finally feel it is time to blow up at the person trolling. Same dynamic is just being applied to a group setting. Trolls want attention and know if they keep pushing they will get what they want from some one (unless they get banned). Banning them just makes them move to another forum, which makes you wonder if there is a single person who has managed to be banned from every forum on the net.

That is why <he whole shall not be named> made the thread about himself. He just wanted attention and got it by acting like a normal user. He caused the disruption, then joined on a new account and started seeking attention, which we all gave him. Problem with trolling is that you eventually need another fix for the attention and blow your cover just like he did in the thread.
So go throw your temper tantrum elsewhere. I can do without your entitled attitude.

This.

I've gotten to the point that I don't read most of the questions. When I spot a keyword that interests me I'll open the thread. I usually do not respond but for a number of reasons.

Many of the newer regulars can help out for the vast majority of questions. I tend to step in to correct or provide additional insight when I do post.
I don't actually have a problem with Disch's response. I think he was spot-on about the OP's attitude.

I also think LB was spot-on in his response to the continuing responses.
Hey, nobody said that this forum sucks! Yet.
I love this forum! =)
I've never seen such a fast forum, being sincere, i swear.
Maybe i'm not registered on many forums, but i see this one is pretty fast at answering. Anyways there is not much to discuss for now, we all said most out of our opinions. End Of Post, have a nice day ^

StackOverflow
I personally think this is one of the best forums out there, tons of people helping me in every aspect of the language and usually fast to respond. I myself usually search the forum daily for questions i can help with or opinions to give. Just because someone didnt answer your question in an hour doesnt make this a bad forum. This forum holds some of the nicest people ive met, they help us out of the kindness of their hearts.

Grow up kid

My opinion isn't changing. Well, I'm not registered on Stack Overflow, i just check from time to time if there's anything i need. But here's everything i need, including extra documentation sections.
You're opinion? What does you're opinion have to do with the fact that you have seen a fast forum? ;)
I'm on Stack Overflow, think I've asked one question there in the time I've been there. Definitely quick at replying and detailed replies.

Whenever I type a question into Google, if one of the results is from StackOverflow, 90% of the time it will answer my question, and always in a lot of detail. This forum doesn't come up in my search results as often.

It most likely indicates a bad question... :P
At least a poorly structured question lacking in details to warrant a helpful answer.
