Why do the " " Programming forums suck?

Seriously, why do people not know how to answer easy as pie questions in a timely manner? I've never been able to get timely responses. I have to wait half a day before some random person comes on and gives me somewhat of an answer. Its really frustrating trying to figure something out with no help. Personally, I blame the dev's of C++. Their instructions on how to do things suck. Very frustrating when they use jargon that makes no sense at all.
Psst! Little secret, if they are easy as pie then you don't need help to begin with. Rest of answer is, we have lives we have to attend to before helping with 'easy as pie' questions or the hard as f*ck questions. It's not just you, that is how it is on every forum as everyone has a life that doesn't revolve around you or your problem. The jargon they use is programming jargon. If you can't understand the jargon then you need to brush up on it or change hobbies.
A recent post of yours:
http://cplusplus.com/forum/beginner/68221/

By the timestamp you waited a grand total of 1 hour for a response.

This isn't a chatroom with staff paid to answer questions round the clock. It's an internet forum with a modest amount of regulars who respond to posts in their free time. I don't know about the other regulars here, but I'm certainly not on here 24/7, nor do I have the time and energy to read every single forum post, let alone respond to all of them. No one here is paid to answer questions, we do it out of our own generosity.

So go throw your temper tantrum elsewhere. I can do without your entitled attitude.

hardlinecoded,

Simple solution, go elsewhere if you don't like it here.

I think he has. Not posted but once since this thread.
Was his post really so abusive as to report it for abuse? I think he's just impatient and confused.
He is exactly same as my brother, arrogant, annoying retarded in every way

Also Chrisname said

Actually Im 13 and I am arrogant, I have been doing C++ for a year and I never boasted (except in front of my dad to make him f*ck off and stop telling me what to do).

I don't think you should blame C++ Devs if you cannot find the instructions. All you need is already online somewhere, either on MSDN or in our Documentation/Reference sections, or on this beautiful website all of us used from the beginning:

Yeah. Problem is this world is filled with tons of people that do what they shouldn't do. Easier for people to blame others than themselves for their short comings.
You'd be hanged on most forums for an attitude like this. People post answers here out of kindness, not because they have too. So what entitles you too insult them for not being fast enough? Believe it or not, you're not the center of the universe, so either clean up your manners or learn to solve your own problems.

And guess whose now going to ignore all subsequent questions you post?

I, for one, think this thread should stop.

The OP was wrong in thinking that the forum was instant help, and venting his frustration with a difficult new study the wrong way.

However, the responses here are getting more and more virulent. Every single one of us had to be taught how to interact on a forum, and every one of us had to wrap our heads around programming and C++, and every one of us had to learn a new vocabulary to do it. Just because we did it doesn't make it any easier for the next person.

This used to be a nice place on the net.
I agree with Duoas. I was hesitant to post in this thread at first, but it needs saying.

People, just because we had a couple of trolls rumble through here doesn't mean we can't be the nice people we used to be (I really think this is because of the trolling; I noticed several times that just after an invasion, the attitude on this forum would be so much more asinine than usual).

We can just ignore those nasty people and move on. That way, the trolls don't get the satisfaction, we don't get upset, and the people who are angry or frustrated but who are genuinely looking for help don't get the 3rd degree.

I agree with both Duoas and Albatross on this. The problem I have is, I feel the comments in this thread were rather warranted as the OP has gotten rude in at least one other thread, has been here since late last year, and is posting a thread basically saying we suck because we don't help him fast enough for his liking. Trolling or not, I think this thread would have gone the same way remark wise considering all those facts.
I did see the other threads, but I still think that the OP should have been responded to much in a much kinder tone if responded to at all. That's the best way to handle these sorts of things, IMO. :/

Yeah, I see your point. If we respond rudely they could turn troll and spam the site. If we ignore them, the could still turn troll or just leave but at least it wouldn't be because of a member on here. I do see where you are coming from because if both ways could have the same outcome it is better to let the outcome happen without provocation. Let's not forget it could just end in the user blowing off steam and getting back to waiting for their replies to their issues.

I suppose I could have and should have sounded a little nicer in my remarks towards him.
Yeah yeah you guys are right.

Sorry everybody. I'll try to keep my head on straight.

Warranted or not, they weren't necessary. In particular, you can see how the trolls feed off "warranted" but unnecessary comments. I find myself far more annoyed with the people responding to them than the actual trolls.

I've trolled a few times during my teen years, and let me tell you, a person that is wanting to troll won't need warranted comments to continue to troll. If someone didn't say anything I could use to troll more with I would double post and start ranting about pointless things until someone replied. That is why I love the term 'feed the troll' because you don't need to feed a troll for them to keep trolling (as our spamming troller proved just a short while ago). All you need to troll is the urge to troll and the need to get attention in some shape or form. If the OP was wanting to troll, they would have succeeded even if the comments were 100% polite because everyone replied to it giving them attention.

[REVISION]
For the record I'm referring to when I was 13 - 19 years old. I'm now 30 years old and have grown out of it (well I troll Allegro.cc, but that trolling is me just agreeing with what they think of me for whining about Allegro and game programming with it).
