So... I'm a sophomore in college right now as a CS major. I don't any work experience in the field. This is for an internship, and it's my first one. I'm applying for software engineering and system design positions. Basically, I'm really sure what I should put on my resume
I put "No experience" in the curriculum, and got yelled at the interview.
It was like:
Ok, you've never worked before. That's not a problem, but ¿what kind of info do you think that I can obtain with 'Nothing'?
You should tell me what you are good at, what kind of projects you do, what is the value of your knowledge.
Learn to sell yourself.
Haha you put "nothing" and still got interviewed?? Kinda surprising :O
I guess I just didn't know what to put on it I guess. I ended up just saying I have experience with C, C++, and Java, and then what kind of experience. Then put my down my related courses I've taken
I've been stressing lately over building some sort of a portfolio of accomplishments I could put on a resume. I just can't think of anything tangible or significant that I can show off. :\
