Has anyone here actually gotten a job from the Jobs forum?

It seems to have a constant influx of poor postings--jobs with no location, "employers" with no credentials, tutor me requests, and the like. Even for the legit posts, the location targeted really makes them a long-shot.

Should the Jobs forum even be here? (No offense, twicker.)

I personally see it as a way to keep spam out of the forums I actually use.

That's how I see it, as well. But if that's all, it seems silly to have a "Spam" forum. :P

Even if all it does is decrease the amount of spam on the other forums, that's still a good enough reason for its existence IMO.

I only wasted my time with one.

I say wasted because the employer pulled a charge back over paypal and won after I had sent the source.

I actually got an interview out of out of this one a few months ago http://cplusplus.com/forum/jobs/48803/ so it's not completely useless. If it does just act as a spam filter though then that's definitely not a bad thing either.
