How to post links?

I am just wondering how to post links here?

If you post an URL, it normally automaticly turns into a link, eg:

http://www.cplusplus.com/forum/lounge/5622/

I just cut/past that. I dont believe there is a way to tell this site to make a link, maybe it has someting to do with your personal settings.

So it depends on the amount of days active does it?
