I hear people in the programming classes I take or help with say both, is one better than the other? Or does it not matter?
Incidently I use see-out

I used to say kout, but I'm pretty sure see-out is the correct way.

"kout"
It doesn't matter at all except when you're talking to people. In your head it could pronounced "soot" and as long as you understood it wouldn't make a difference.

It's "see-out" officially (from "console character output"), but yeah, it doesn't matter. Like /kɛɹ/ vs. /tʃɑɹ/.

But console is kuhn-sohl phonetically.
So, kout it is.
