Just my opinion, but any application that makes sound that isn't a music application annoys the heck out of me. If you were putting that on your "splash" screen I would probably uninstall your app out of annoyance.
I agree with darkestfright. Even for music apps, a startup jingle is annoying.
The only place it's acceptable would be for a game - but I even find myself wanting to skip over those after I've seen them once or twice.

The sound is nice, however you should still add some checkbox to toggle the sound on or off. ;)
