Last January I purchased a used T-Mobile G1 off a friend. After I told him I wanted to buy it he replaced a few parts that were in poor condition (the screen and keyboard) and flashed the phone over to Cyanogenmod. Before doing any of this I know the camera worked, I saw him use it. But during the process the camera stopped working all together. He said he tried to figure out what was wrong with it but he couldn't find anything out of place.
Basically, when I try to run any app that requires the camera it gives me the app crash error "The application Camera (process com.android.camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." At first I thought the issue was just cyanogen, but after I flashed back to stock and still had this problem I'm worrying that the camera has shorted out.
I've opened up the phone and made sure all connections are being properly made and I'm not really sure what to look for outside of the obvious. Is it likely he fried that piece during the replacement?
I know there are websites out there devoted to this topic, but I was hoping someone here had an answer before I go and make an account on a new forum. ^^;;
