Has anyone else noticed the new design for the login thingie?

Now there's a 'sign in using yahoo' and 'google'. Wtf is this? Do we need this? I used to be able to type in my id, hit tab, type my password, hit tab tab, click spacebar (to check remember me box), hit shift+tab and then space. Really its usually a lot easier than moving my hand to the mouse, and then moving the mouse cursor (with my luck its usually in the bottom left corner) all the way to the top right. Really it saves me quite a bit of time.

Now however, with those two useless features I gotta do "...tab tab tab tab, click on spacebar, shift+tab, shift+tab, shit+tab....". At the very least couldn't the webdesigners move the 'sign in using' hyptertext links to below or to the right of the remember me link?

And since we're on the subject? Why do we need the 'remember me' feature anyway? It seems I can't even logon without it. I think the site is broken.


(Not to sound rude, but i'm on a shared computer and i think this default of 'keep me signed in' is total fucking crap. )

Funny, the remember me option doesn't seem to work very well for me. That said, I do find the tab order of those buttons to be a bit annoying... IIRC that can be changed with the stylesheet, or a tag, or something.

Yeah "remember me" hasn't been working for me much either, thought it might be fixed now. I certainly don't have to OP's problem. Not remembering is the default for me. When I'm using a shared computer, I always clear all browsing data anyway =)
