I'd like to do some distance learning to complement what I've learned about programming so far, hopefully resulting in a degree. If you've had a formal education in programming/computing then your advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm most interested in:
- Which subject areas are most useful (i.e. practical programming classes vs. computer architecture).
- What maximises the chance of employment at the end.
- How qualifications (distance are otherwise) will be viewed by others in the field.
The link to the course specification can be found below. Also I'm relatively new to this site - if this thread is in the wrong section please let me know.
