After you press client you should get a message like: connected to server or something similar.
Right now, you and I are the only ones on =) check it you just got some messages from me. I'll add a notification in the bottom bar in about ten minutes.

Lol that was me. I read you're post quickly and given our brief conversation about chatbots on your blog, I thought this was a chatbot application. My bad :#

Well I've been meaning to play around with that kind of thing anyway, although I have no real experience with it so I doubt my efforts will be fruitful.
I would love to help, but unfortunately right now I am juggling revision for external school exams and also a postgrad (it's a long story...) so while I love coding, I don't get much time for it. Even when my workload drops, I'll be lucky to get an hour or two a day. Thus, I can't really work on anything seriously right now, especially when I'm trying not to let my blog die :P
Nonetheless, I'll let you know if I do get anywhere with it... Sorry I can't be more positive ;)

Just uploaded an update, this one plays a popping sound, and I'm trying to find a cross platform way of making the icon blink.. I have a windows blink and an osx bounce. Looking at linux right now.
Also fixed the custom usernames...
And I'm online =D
