Cruel cruel jokes

So I found out this morning that my room mate really gets into april first. I found out quite painfully to be honest.

See he downloaded a high quality uncompressed audio file of the standard fire alarm. Specifically the same one we hear in the dorms when some one pulls the alarm.

He then waited until about 4 in the morning, cranked his volume to max, and then blasted that sound effect. He was yelling "Alex Alex! Wake up! there's a fire"
I scrambled out of bed ran for the door and just as i touched the door nob he said "April fools"

Needless to say pay back will be hell.

Anecdote aside, What kind of pranks did you pull as a kid and what was pulled on you on this our favorite pranking day.

I never thought disruptive pranking was funny, so I never participated.

For example the fire alarm thing you described above would just piss me off and make me not want to be friends with anyone who found it funny. =P

Once, my wife "jokingly" said "I'm pregnant" (we don't have kids yet). For a second, I could feel my mind rearranging priorities and getting ready for serious business. Then she said she was joking :/

One of my friends told her mum she was pregnant (she's 16) this year on April 1^st, and her mum went home from work and everything... I bet she was pissed.
