Ubuntu Linux will be discontinued!!

Have you heard that the development for Ubuntu linux will be discontinued? There's a video on youtube showing a conference of linux developers declaring the said topic. Also there is a written notice on their official website and facebook page!
so what does that mean exactly?
Will the other distros remain?
EDIT: Removed my previous comment regarding the date. Could spoil a large opportunity for fun :P

Well waiting is over.. April fools day!!!
Oh oh oh! I've got another one. Dev C++ development is discontinued!

Oh no wait. That's not April Fools is it... ;)
Dev C++ will always have a place in the hearts of it's users!! And yeah RIP!!
I have to say I got it with some rubbish C++ book, and I had already used Visual Studio so I really couldn't take to it. Until Code::Blocks though, I had always believed that Dev C++ was the best you could get without selling your soul to Micro$oft :P
@my fellow namemate above:

C::B pwns everything :D
I love C::B too. It's just I'm lazy so ultimately I'll always be won over by VS's better intellisense features ;)

And yeah, as I'm sure you'll agree, we share the best name on here :P
Well, VS IntelliSense won't be better than C::B code completition for forever. The new nightly builds are close, just a bit buggy right now.
Really? In that case I'll definitely give it a try again.

One great thing about C::B over VC is that you don't have to make a whole project just to compile 10 lines of sample code!

It only takes me like 2 seconds to make an empty project...>_>

Well it seems you are very slightly faster than me, but fair point - it's hardly that much of a pain.

However, it makes a load of extra directories. I guess most of them can be avoided by changing the settings (but having done this, surely it would have taken at least ~10s). Still, I do love VS2010 XD

For IDE's I usually always have some empty project called "Test" where I drop in random lines of code that I want to try and compile and such.

Most of the time I just use notepad++ and the command line if it's hardly worth creating a project for.
