It's about time to come up with a logo for my latest application. It's a barcode generator that interfaces with both inkjet/laser printers as well as label printers. Under the C++/CLI GUI skin is a barcode rendering library coded in native C++.

Everyone's seen the multitude of barcode systems out there...the logos are all barcodes...which is understandable, but somewhat boring. I was thinking about using a play on words (Bar Coder, rather than Barcoder) and having a bottle of liquor with barcodes suspended inside as the icon / logo. That (pun? I'm not a literary device guru) isn't too obscure to get a chuckle out of is it?

Hmm... I like the idea, as long as there's something in the FAQs about it. I'll bet there will be a few people who won't get it.
On a side note, this is what I would have made if I were creating the application. It's boring.

You could make a bar code of "Barcoder" and overlay it on the words "Barcoder" or something.
