Relavent Cross Post

I don't normally do this because I feel a little like I'm spamming but this article struck a cord for me and also made me think some of the people on this site.

Helpful or not, it's a quick read and has some good, if not too generic, advice.

I'm within two months of my final university deadlines now, and struggling to find any motivation at all. I don't know if I would call it depression, but I'm really sick of getting up early, programming until late, and repeating every single day the same way. On top of that the work isn't even paying off, I'm getting basically nowhere and starting to panic. There are a lot of experienced programmers here who mustve worked professionally as programmers at 'crunch' time. Has anyone got any advice? I'm not enjoying programming any more.
Shake up your routine a bit. Take some time out when you have ANY down time and pick up a new programming language. Start a pet project that it's legitimately entertaining and interesting to you. Something you can do easily but not to the point that it's mundane. If you have a laptop go to a cafe/internet bar (if you can find one) and code there. Really anything to change things up would help.
@Seraphimsan

I think I'll try programming somewhere new like an internet cafe that sounds like a good idea. As for a side project, I don't even have enough time for the five projects I need to do for university, but I'll keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks.
Interesting. Nice find.
