I believe soccer is enjoyed by millions of viewers world-wide especially when World Cup and European Cup comes up. Surprising, US has few supporters. US fans seem to enjoy basketball and America football, baseball more than anything else. Now why isn't soccer a craze in US ? I believe US did host the World Cup years back but it just does not stir up more interest. For English fans I guess soccer runs in their blood.
My favorite team is Germany. They never fail to amaze me by their sheer grit and determination even when there were times the national squad is so lacking in skills but they still can take top 4 positions. A commendable achievement.
Now does Germany soccer federation do brain-washing of their players ? :P Nowadays Germany national squad are formed by "outside" talents too. They embrace change unlike the old and cautious England national squad that got beaten 4-1 in last World Cup despite having the superior team.
I'm English and I can't stand football (soccer). It's everywhere in this country too, if you go outside during a world cup match when England is playing it's like a ghost town.
