I just saw this movie over the weekend.
I guess it did poorly at the box office -- but man did this movie rock my socks off. Best movie I've seen in years.
Did anyone else here see it?

Nope...I heard the game was pretty fun though. Maybe I'll look into it now though.

I've been debating on seeing this. I guess I should give it a shot. Just saw Black Swan this weekend (sexy natalie portman :) ) and The Rite. The Rite was pretty good... really anything with Anthony Hopkins is good. Although this morning I dreamed the anti-christ had arrived and millions were possessed... so maybe I shouldn't have watched it?? lol

I heard that Scott Pilgrim vs. The world had lots of video game quotes so i might just see it...
Honestly I didn't think that it looked that good, but I might get pulled into watching it anyways.

It's not just quotes... it's all kinds of references. A lot of the soundtrack is music from retro video games. Even right at the beginning when the camera zooms in on their house, it plays that little 'spinning triforce' jingle from the beginning of Zelda 3.
But yeah it's pretty much nonstop video game stuff, with great special effects and a really great sense of humor.
Even the bands names are funny/VG related: "Sex Bob Omb" and "Clash at Demonhead". XD

Yeah I remember that game. It was awesome. One of the weird rare gems that most people never heard of. When I saw the name in the movie I couldn't stop laughing at how awesome it was.

I will rent this movie on Netflix. Didn't really hear much about it but you're given it a good review.

I guess it was overhyped by people -- but I don't have a TV and don't hang out with movie-going crowds so I hadn't heard anything about it until my brother suggested it. So maybe that's why I liked it so much?
