Eye tracking...

Anyone had ever had to do with a project of eye tracking...i must do one...but sincerly i'm a lot confused. I don't know how to start, what to download, what to study. So i'd really need some help. If anyone had ever done this project could you help me plz

What exactly do you mean by "eye tracking?"

well the project consist in making and algorithm that can find where the eye of a person are focusing

Based on what data? Are you expected to find this info in a simulation or using real world data?

Based on the shape of the darker pupil and iris, you can find the line along which it is looking. Then find the intersection of the two lines from each eye to find in 3d the point wher the eyes are focusing. The first problem is very hard, the second is pretty easy.

You will also have to take squinting into account I guess. :)
