Has anyone ever read Code by Petzold?

Hi guys,

just approaching the conclusion of Charles Petzold's code, I liked the book. I found Charles's explanations and guidance to be simple but yet at the same time thorough. The depth was quite deep yet very digestible, his schematics were excellent, he also follows a story to keep your interest peaked. Additionally I liked the way he built upon each concept in the following chapters. He starts off with the anatomy of a flight light to morse code and other binary representations to relay circuits to finally putting all of the aforementioned together to make integrated circuits such as flip flops, adders, decoders and selectors.

I've been told to read and follow along with nandtotetris to get a better understanding of computer fundamentals in general but I really did enjoy code, short and sweet/to the point read.

Has anyone read this book? and if so what was your take on it?
