On universities

So I'm kinda intrigued to know where everyone matriculated. I want to know where you went to college :O or where you are going now. I'm currently attending Missouri State University. Me and my room mate are both majoring in computer science, but he's completely new to it and I've got some experience. Anyways, where you all going?

Also to those who havent gotten there yet, feel free to post where you want to go XD
I went to Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, MIT and Princeton at the same time. I'm a minor in Physics from 3 schools and Computer Science from two.

In reality I'm not going to university for a few years, if at all (I think I got bad grades in my exams). I want to go to Kings College London, either to do Physics or Computer Science. I haven't decided yet.
MIT, hopefully. My mom works at Skidmore and so she gets the benefits of going to partnered colleges for free, and I'm (supposedly) also under the coverage. I don't have to worry about tuition if that's the case. I just need the grades now and I'm set, which shouldn't be too difficult. I tend to slack, but not because of lack of motivation, because of lack of sleep. Up at 6AM every morning after staying up to 11PM-12AM every night does not lead to a very good amount of sleep. But even under these conditions I tend to stay in the 80s or higher (Bs). I only went below an 80 in a class once, and that was last year in Algebra, when I slept through every single class (well, I stayed up through about 10 at most) and still made high 70s.

heh ngen, nice, I did the same thing all through highschool. Also aced all my finals at the end of the year. I just never could afford anything but the cheapest university in the state. Luckily for me they have a great comp sci focus.
I'm heading to the University of the West of England (I physically hate saying that name) tostudy computer security, although i'm starting to think should I switch to computer science but I'll see how I go. Can't wait though!
I dropped out of highschool (or really, I tested out, got some lame "equivilency" thing).

I briefly attended Ventura Community College in southern California, but only for like a few months before it hit me that it was just high school all over again.
Currently in my zeroth year, so to speak (it's complicated), at UBA. By the way, public education is probably one the best ideas ever. Egalitarianism FTW.
I'm assuming UBA is the University of Buenos Aires. What are you studying?

I also think public health is one of the best ideas ever. You can thank the USSR for that one. And womens' rights. And a lot of other things that are constantly overlooked due to zeal and some of the darker parts of Soviet history.
It is, and CS. Currently taking Linear Algebra, Chemistry, and Introduction to Scientific Thought (basically logic and a bit of epistemology and history of philosophy).

Back in the 19th century when the anarchist party still existed, the communist party tried to promote women's rights and labor laws. And something else I can't recall right now. You have to give it to them, in some respects, communism was decades ahead of its time.
I think it was when Lenin left and Stalin appeared that bad things started to happen, but I of course have no evidence for this so it's pretty much a moot comment.

I hate Chemistry. I don't know why, but I've always found it extremely boring and I can't even do simple chemical equations most of the time.
I'm currently in my 5th year (of 6) at VWO (which means Voorbereidend Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs, in English: "Pre-University Education"). It's the highest level of high school studies in the Netherlands. I haven't really found what to specialize in, although I'm sure it will have some relation with computer science and/or programming (perhaps even maths).
I am currently in my 2nd year of middle-school(7th grade).

I hope to go to MIT(to be an Electronics Engineer). I am a straight A student, so grades aren't a problem.
I've never been able to get good grades. It's a shame, I could probably have got As in most subjects had I tried hard enough.

I'm stupid.
I'm stupid.

You wouldn't have 3500 posts on this forum if you were...

Just be glad you aren't in my school district. The grading scale here is insane(though it is changing this year):

94 - 100 is an A
85 - 93 is a B
etc...

I meant I'm stupid because I could easily have done really, really well, but due to my lack of self control, most of the time I should have spent studying was spent programming (edit: or studying irrelevant material) instead. I have yet to see my results (they come on Tuesday) but I'm sure I did badly.

but I'm sure I did badly.

*poorly

XD

Couldn't resist the irony.
What?
"I did badly" is incorrect grammar. Bad does not describe how well you perform.
"I did poorly" is correct.

It's similar to "I learn good" vs. "I learn well".
And I spend all my time telling people that "John and me" and "I [would, should, could] of" are incorrect...

Improper grammar, the irony is grammar is one of the things you might of done poorly on in school.
