I went to the first link, and it is currently asking "When do you think faster-than-light travel will be developed." That's about all I had to read to lose interest.
^ You judge the entire site based on that? I think you're being rather harsh. There's plenty of interesting stuff on there. Look at the medical developments in the 2020s-30s for instance, and the progress with Moore's Law in 2050 and beyond, and various other future technologies that are mentioned - all backed up with credible references/citations. The final section has a timeline of the Universe itself. Plenty of interesting stuff. What's wrong with speculating on FTL travel anyway?
According to relativity, as an object approaches the speed of light, the time the object is experiencing slows down relative to the rest of the universe, which is described by this formula:
It follows that if you're at the speed of light, the equation is now 1/sqrt(1-c/c) or 1/0, the time passing according to the object being the denominator, indicating that time doesn't pass at all according to the object.
I think the sight is really interesting.. I know of no where else to get relevant information about the future.. cnn and nbc are all full of crap.. this site has a specialization of information that benefits dreamers such as myself.. but the data is based on facts... like a rolling summary of our expected future? thats neat.. period.
The history channel repeats stuff over and over.. this is a dynamic representation of our history that has not yet passed..
