Local Radio station going down.

Alright I know most of you wont give two shits about it but here in the st.louis st.charles area there has been a classical radio station for 63 years...as of the 6th of July it is now a gospel and religious bull crap...That was my FAVORITE radio station. I will miss it dearly, and what it has been replaced with will forever make me rage. Sorry for the completely irrelevant topic...I needed to vent.
Sucks...I like classical music. :/ Guess you have to get a portable mp3 player.
I like classical too. You simply can't portray a mood or emotion the same way with modern style music.

That's why they use classical style music in games and films.
Indeed. That or techno, depending on the genre of game. As for getting an mp3 player, my phone doubles as one really well.
That's happened several times down in Florida. Every few years the gospel station goes under and is immediately replaced by classical... a few months later it's replaced again by gospel.
Classical music > Religious stuff.

Also I've yet to find a radio station that has intellectual discussions. Mostly they're either news stations (fine) or OMFG THE GOVERNMENT MADE A LAW EVERYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT IT NOW stations (bad).

CBC radio has excellent discussions, things like the current education system to native american land claims. They have great guests and usually they are all pretty intelligent.
That's the kind of thing I don't like. Politics. Ugh.

One of the popular radio stations where I live is like that, except the majority of the people that call up don't know anything. I recall once someone actually debated with the host whether or not England has a constitution. Seriously. He claimed that was "an American thing".

Besides, I'm not in Canada...

I get your frustration, but don't think CBC programming (no pun intended... well just a little) is all political it does go beyond that. I think you can get CBC online but w/e.
