Meta classes and their perceived uselessness

Jul 10, 2019 at 2:03am
From what I’ve heard, they(honestly don’t ask who XD) have been saying that in c++20 meta classes will be introduced, and from what I understand all a meta class does is instantiate a class instead of an object. I don’t get it. When am I ever going to use a thing like that?? Honestly isn’t inheritance basically going to do the same thing for me?

Any thoughts?
