Drw4d, I couldn't have phrased it better than you just did. I totally agree with your main point; classes are for interactivity in the learning process. Action (your answer), reaction (possible improvements and comments from your teacher). However, what is important to state is that students indeed need research capabilities, at no times should teachers come with questions that have no possibility to be answered; these lead to frustration on both the students' as the teacher's side.
The lack of teachers that have the capability to ask the right question at the right time is what I find rather concerning. Teachers should encourage study, not discourage.
